Canby General Days Parade
Wednesday July 4th Corner of 5th & Fir
Meet up @ 1:25pm for Parade Formation
25th Anniversary "Diamond in the Rough"

General Canby Day is a family oriented community celebration that takes place in Downtown Canby on the Fourth of July. There are 70 plus food and craft booths that surround Wait Park. The day begins at 7:30 with a pancake breakfast. At 10:00 the King and Queen officially start the festivities. There is a car show, art show, demonstrations, parade, Teen Street, free on going live music, book sale and of course the spectacular fireworks display at 10:00 pm at Trost School.
The parade starts promptly at 2pm at the corner of 5th and Elm. Scouts should meet up with the parade float at 1:25pm in front of the Knight/Eccles Elementary ballfields. Please be sure that your Scout is wearing his Class A uniform, hat, and sunscreen. We will return to the same location after the parade route. Parents are welcome to walk alongside the float during the parade. The Canby General Day committee does not allow children to toss candy. If we would like to do this, parents must walk along the edge of the sidewalks and hand the candy to children.
If you are interested in designing, providing a parade trailer/hauling vehicle, decorating or helping in another way please let Sean know and attend the June committe meeting.
Wear your uniform to school on meeting days!
We are now offering 2 incentive awards to the boys who wear their
uniform to school on meeting days.
The boys will each receive 1 gold bead at the meeting if they wear their Class "A" uniform to school on meeting days.
Once they earn 10 Gold Beads they can earn a Free "Dilly" bar from Dairy Queen.
If your school doesn't allow Scout uniforms to be worn, you may wear your uniform to Church instead.
